Was so great - I stopped by twice on the same weekend! Usually, when I'm craving rice noodle soup, I go to my usual Pho 101 - but I wanted to try something different, and was curious about how Fengying's pickled cabbage noodle soups stand out. There's a simple menu - noodle soup or noodles without the broth. You get a selection of proteins including your basic beef / pork / chicken options, to more adventurous meats like gizzards and intestines. There's even a snail meat dish which I'm going to add to my "maybe" list for a future visit. After placing my order and finding a spot, the wait was minimal before the cook walked out to the lobby with my bowl, and set it on their condiment bar. I assumed it was my bowl, since I was first to enter as soon as they opened, but there were a few people that came in after me. The condiment bar has several different chili options from mild to spicy to extremely hot. I opted for no spice, and just added a dollop of minced garlic, roasted peanut balls? and a scoop of green onions. My first visit, I opted for the Pickled Cabbage & Beef Noodle Soup. I've never had guilin noodles before - so didn't know what to expect - but was pleasantly surprised

“dog meat” on the wall of a Santa Ana restaurant??? Seriously??? I noticed it while dining at FengYing Guilin Rice Noodle in Santa Ana. The wall decor included the words “dog meat” as part of its display. Seeing it displayed so openly in a California restaurant deeply disturbing to me! I personally don’t think this is appropriate for a restaurant serving the local community! I wont be returning, and I want to share my experience so others can make their own informed decision. PLEASE don’t use this as an excuse to racism. This restaurant does not represent all Chinese people, and most Chinese people hate dog meat, too!

This place is so bomb. It’s the best guilin rice noodle place I ever had in the States. The flavoring of the noodles blew me away. It’s not overly salty, and it has depth. There’s a smoky flavor from the marinade. The crispy pork is amazing. Skin so crunchy and meat so tender. The texture and flavor of the crispy pork adds so much flavor and texture to the dish. There’s also snail, beef, beef rib meat and fried intestines in the house special. The portion size is HUGE. And there’s a side bar for pickles, peanuts, house made chili oil and sauce. Love the customizability. They bring the noodles to the size bar for you to customize. Feels very authentic. And fast and friendly service. They leave us be as they should. The pork could be a little too rich in the end mostly because the huge portion size. Free soup is very plain, which is a good complement to the salty dry noodles. Two happy customers. Will be back.

So excited that this noodle shop has a branch close to Irvine. We used to drive to other places to eat. Now it’s so convenient for us to enjoy the gourmet without getting too much traffic. Make sure to ask them to adjust the salty level if you prefer a light flavor.

The food was amazing! The food portions were large, and the stuff was so nice!! We forgot to take pictures before, so we took the picture just after! Every bit was delicious! And there is a stand with extras, with good spice, garlic, green onion, and Sauces! So much fun!
